I was completely satisfied with the way Will's party turned out! It was probably one of the most relaxing parties I have thrown for the kids. I would definitely recommend a pool rental to anyone considering it!
These invitations were created by DesigningFinch on Etsy. She had them emailed to me within 15 min of my purchase! Very impressed!
:: cookies in top right corner were made by another Etsy shop, thetalentedcookie. Again a positive experience. Cookies matched our invitations perfectly and were very tasty!
:: Shark was a Pinterest inspiration but I had it made by Hyvee because I just was not into doing anything myself this year (with the exception of the cake)
:: Gift favors consisted of a bucket filled with a beach ball, whistle, lei, drink bottle, and gummy fish ca-bobs inspired by Pinterest). I got fed up with the gummy ca-bobs so I ended up throwing the left overs in a bag and tying 'em up!
:: The bottom of the chalk board gave our guests a little agenda and thank you. Again a Pinterest inspiration.
:: Kistner's Flowers has always done a fabulous job for us. I usually always include something floral for all of our birhtday parties. I found the board shorts vase at Hobby Lobby on Spring Clearance!
I would say fun was had by all! The rules were out the window regarding the slides so all of the little ones were enjoying lapping them! Some of the older "kids" in the crowd played basketball and some of the non-swimming guests were able to enjoy the shade under the snack pavilion.
:: The huge print of the back side of the invitation was done by Kinkos.
My only complaint of the day is that it was just shy of being enough time to get it all done. However, the staff was great and let us be in the snack area over our allotted time so we could wrap up lunch, (Jimmy John's sandwich tray, chips, fruit, and pasta salad) cake/coldstone cupcakess, gifts, and our shark Pinata.
Did you all know that helium is on a nation wide shortage? Well, when I purchased these 17" balloons I didn't. However I was not about to let this stop me from filling them. Hyvee ended up having some on the day of the party but it was not guaranteed so I held my breath until that morning!
The Pinata busting happened so quickly I actually missed out on the event but my wonderful father-in-law made it over for some pictures!

sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute party! I want a summer baby so I can have fun swim party birthday parties!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! What pool is this? How the heck did you do all of this with 2 small kids and being pregnant? SUPER MOMMY............now go to the spa or something, you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteNorthview Pool. It is our favorite pool. However, we did take a trip to City this past weekend and Will had fun on the bouncy dome so we may have a strong competitor. Northview is nice because everything is visible and seems easier to keep track of the kids in.
DeleteOh yeah, definitely NOT super MOMMY but thanks for making me not feel like the Loser Mommy I am most days. The TV is on WAY too much at our house and we eat Mac and Cheese three times a day ;) that is how I get anything done.
DeleteWhat an adorable party! Love everything you did!
