We got to go home Sunday night. Saturday early evening Will's NG tube finally got yanked out. Truthfully, I'm surprised it lasted that long. So, they called in anesthesia to get a deeper vein and start another IV drip. Through Saturday night his fever was down and his mouth had made SOME progress so we were hopeful to go home. Then Sunday afternoon his second IV was coming out so we tried to see what being in his own home would do for him. The fever came back through the night and we had a follow up with Dr. H Monday morning. He admitted him back in and the IV went in on the first try (overall about 15 pokes/tries on my poor baby since day one!) They have also done oral care (a numbing solution) to try and clean his tongue and that has really helped. This morning they did a chest x-ray t make sure it hadn't gotten in his lungs and it hadn't. Overall he is doing better and hopefully tomorrow we can go home.
