First Trip to the ZOO

Joe made it home safe and sound at about 1am Friday night/ Saturday Morning. I was supposed to get my hair done at 11am today but had to reschedule because Brenda called at about 10am to tell me she was sick. Also, it was supposed to rain so I thought this was the start to a terrible day. However, it ended up being an AWESOME day. First we ate at Old Chicago. Yum. Next,we went around town looking/pricing landscaping materials and then drove around the west side neighborhoods to look at examples. After that we headed to the Annenberg park where Will enjoyed us pushing him on the swings (he loves them). We thought he would like the sand box area but all he could focus on was our stupid water bottle. Sometimes kids like the simplest of things. I didn't have my camera for this outing because I thought we were supposed to have a nasty day outside. Since it was proving to stay nice out we decided to pick up our camera at the house (and some sunscreen and hat for Will) and head to the Sunset Zoo. This was really more enjoyable for Joe and I but Will was a trooper. He was pretty tired because he didn't get a good afternoon nap. We pretty well hit all of the exhibits (not too hard to do at this Zoo). The last exhibit we went to was the monkeys. They had a baby gorilla that was soooo cute!
